Our district lacks a central communal place for families. We must actively seek to create generational change in our community and we have to begin with our youth. Positive Youth Development programs will provide our young people with a positive outlet. There needs to be an increase of mentoring, leadership development, cultural and arts programs, sports and recreation, college and career preparation and adolescent health programs so that each young person in our community can thrive.
